How to generate your favicons

Tips for a sharp favicon
Simple, bold designs read best at tiny sizes. Fine details and small text tend to disappear at 16x16, so favor a single recognizable shape or letter. Starting from a square source avoids stretching, since the tool scales the image to fit each square canvas.
