Text Reverser
Reverse text, words, or lines in any direction.
Reverse text in three different ways
The Text Reverser flips your text using three distinct modes, so you can reverse exactly the part you need. "Reverse Text" flips the entire string character by character, turning "hello" into "olleh." "Reverse Each Word" keeps your words in their original order but reverses the letters inside each one, so "hello world" becomes "olleh dlrow." "Reverse Lines" leaves each line untouched but flips the order of the lines, putting the last line first.
These options cover a range of needs, from creating fun mirror-writing and word puzzles, to flipping the order of a list, to simple text experiments. It is a quick, no-fuss utility for writers, students, puzzle makers, and anyone who needs to rearrange text in a hurry.
How to use the reverser
Type or paste your text into the input box, then click one of the three buttons to choose how you want it reversed. The result appears in the output box below, labelled with the mode you selected, and the active button stays highlighted so you can see which transformation was applied. Click a different button at any time to switch modes using the same input.
When you are happy with the result, click Copy to send it to your clipboard. The character-reversal mode handles the full text including spaces and punctuation, while the word and line modes split your text on spaces and line breaks respectively before reversing.
Notes and privacy
Because the character-level reversal treats your text as a sequence of characters, it correctly handles spaces and symbols, though very unusual emoji or combined characters may not always flip cleanly. For most everyday text, all three modes produce exactly the result you would expect.
Everything happens entirely in your browser. Your text is never uploaded to a server, stored, or shared, so it stays private on your own device. The Text Reverser is completely free to use, with no account or sign-up needed, and works on both desktop and mobile.
