Create professional invoices in your browser
The Invoice Generator lets freelancers, small businesses, and contractors put together a clean, professional invoice in minutes and download it as a PDF. There is no account to create and no software to install. You fill in your details, add the work you did, and the tool builds a properly formatted A4 document you can email to a client or print for your records.
Everything is handled with sensible defaults so you can move quickly. The invoice number starts at INV-001, the issue date is set to today, and the due date is automatically placed 14 days out. You can change any of these, and the tool supports ten common currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, MYR, SGD, AUD, CAD, JPY, INR, and AED, each shown with its correct symbol.
How to fill out and download your invoice
Start by entering your invoice number and adjusting the issue and due dates if needed. Fill in the From section with your own name or company, address, email, and phone, then add your client's details in the To section. Pick the currency that matches the job.
Add each piece of work as a line item with a description, quantity, and unit price; the amount for each row and the running subtotal are calculated automatically. Use the Add Line Item button for as many rows as you need, and the remove button to delete a row. You can apply a discount as either a percentage or a fixed amount, and add a tax rate as a percentage, which is calculated on the subtotal after the discount.
When the totals look right, add any payment terms or notes at the bottom, then click Download PDF to save the document to your device, or Print to send it straight to your printer.
Tips for getting paid faster
Use a consistent invoice numbering scheme so both you and your client can reference past invoices easily. State clear payment terms in the Notes field, such as the number of days to pay and any preferred payment method, to reduce back-and-forth. Double-check the currency and tax rate before sending, especially when working with overseas clients, since these directly affect the total your client owes.
